- S.T.E.P. (Strength Through Education Program) -- Homeless tutoring at the Yolo Wayfarer Center.
The Program is staffed by three part-time staff members (inmate Coordinator, S.T.E.P. administrator and an administrative assistant) as well as the Literacy Coordinator.
The program currently consists of 70 volunteer tutors serving 100 adult learners in addition to 17 student/tutor pairs in No Barriers, 164 GED graduates in Inmate Literacy, and in 2009 the program served 500 homeless residents as part of S.T.E.P.
