Woodland Literacy Council Board of Directors
The Woodland Literacy Council will enhance community awareness of literacy programs and promote the benefits of literacy within the community. As the sole provider of countywide literacy services, Woodland Public Library Literacy Services will benefit from our fund-raising efforts. In addition, we will nurture and encourage the literacy services staff members, volunteers, and literacy advocates.
About the WLC
The Woodland Literacy Council (WLC) has for 25 years served as the Woodland support group for the Library Literacy Service. The WLC initially contributed $2,500 annually to the Literacy Service. In the last eleven years, that amount has varied from $2,000 to $10,000. This does not include the many hours of volunteer service provided through various fundraising endeavors and community literacy education and outreach.
Monthly meetings are held the second Monday of every month from 4:00 pm to 5:00pm in the Literacy Services office located at the Woodland Public Library. The Library is located at 250 First Street, Woodland, CA. For more information, please call the Literacy Service office at: 530.661.5986.
