Fire
 Department History

The Fire Department in Woodland is truly a historic institution. For more than 125 years, the Woodland Fire Department has worked to protect its community from the dangers of fires.  Today the Fire Department continues this community service with all of the modern resources at its disposal. The administrative office is located at 532 Court Street in a magnificent building that suits its long track record of service to the community.

The City of Woodland serves its community with three permanent fire stations, each of which is staffed by firefighters 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Utilizing the facilities at Station #3, the Fire Department constantly trains to improve the quality and responsiveness of its service to Woodland.

In addition to fighting fires, the department attempts to prevent fires before they occur by providing educational outreach to people of all ages within the community.

Yolo County Hazard Mitigation Plan Survey

The Yolo County Hazard Mitigation Plan is in the process of being updated.  This plan identifies hazards and threats within our community from everything from natural disasters to terrorism.  The plan also discusses our ability to be prepared and to mitigate and recover from these hazards.  Part of the plan update is to offer a survey for the public to provide input regarding concerns about these hazards.  This on-line survey can be found at the following link:
