The City of Woodland Board of Building Appeals, consisting of five members appointed by the City Council, conduct hearings, and act upon appeals from determinations by city building officials concerning the suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction and questions of interpretation arising under the 2007 California Building Code, the 2007 California Mechanical Code, the 2007 California Electrical Code, the 2007 California Plumbing Code and the 2007 California Fire Code, as these codes may be amended from time to time (City Municipal Code Chapter 2, Art VII, Part B).
The Board of Building Appeals also serves as the Fire Code Board of Appeals of the City Municipal Code (Chapter 2, Art VII, Part B).

The City of Woodland Board of Building Appeals meets as needed in the Community Development Conference Room at City Hall, 300 First Street.
