The City of Woodland Board of Building Appeals, consisting of five members appointed by the City Council, conduct hearings, and act upon appeals from determinations by city building officials concerning the suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction and questions of interpretation arising under the Uniform Building Code, the Uniform Mechanical Code, the Uniform Electrical Code, the Uniform Plumbing Code and the Uniform Fire Code, as these codes may be amended from time to time (City Municipal Code Chapter 2, Art VII, Section 2-7-12).
The Board of Building Appeals also serves as the Fire Code Board of Appeals pursuant to Chapter 9A, Section 9A-10-1 of the City Municipal Code.
The City of Woodland Board of Building Appeals meets as needed in the Community Development Conference Room at City Hall, 300 First Street.
