SHORT PURSUIT LEADS TO ARREST
19 YEAR OLD DRIVER BOOKED FOR EVADING POLICE
Contact :Steve Sexton, Sergeant, Woodland Police Department    530-661-7800
On 06-20-2013 at approx. 10:07 P.M. an officer of the Woodland Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle which was reported to have been involved in a vandalism of a car. The driver of the suspect vehicle, later identified as 19 year old Woodland resident Dario Gamino, failed to yield to the officer's lights and siren. Gamino fled in a wanton and reckless manner endangering the public and his three passengers.

Gamino hit speeds of approx. 40 mph and ran stop signs in the area bounded by Ashley, Cottonwood, W. Cross, and W. Lincoln Av. Gamino drove into the parking lot of 762 W. Lincoln Av, the Cherry Glen Apartments, and was trapped by pursuing police cars. Gamino was charged with reckless driving, felony evading of a police officer, and having greater than .01% Blood Alcohol by a minor under 21 years of age.

One of the passengers in Gamino's car, 24 year old W. Sacramento resident Felipe Reyes, was arrested for a parole violation. Both Gamino and Reyes were booked at the Yolo Co. Jail.
