Contact :FRANK RITTER, SERGEANT, WOODLAND POLICE DEPARTMENT    530-661-7800
On Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at approximately 10:55 a.m., a Woodland Police Officer working uniformed patrol in the area on Tide Court and Pioneer Avenue recognized a driver of a 1992 Lexus as wanted felon Quentin Michael Ray Lee (D.O.B.: 02/06/1987).  Lee was wanted by Yolo County Probation for being in violation of his Post Release Community Supervision.  A Department of Motor Vehicle check of the Lexus revealed it was reported stolen out of Davis, California on June 3, 2013.  Woodland Officers initiated an enforcement stop on the stolen Lexus on County Road 102 just north of Woodland, California in an attempt to apprehend Lee.  Lee failed to yield to the officer’s signal to stop and used evasive driving tactics to avoid capture.  Lee eventually stopped the Lexus on the Knights Landing Draw Bridge, located in Yolo County, only to exit the Lexus and jump off the bridge and into the Sacramento River below.  Lee was uninjured and was quickly apprehend by the pursuing officers as he swam to the river bank several feet downstream. The stolen Lexus was recovered and returned to the registered owner.  Lee was transported to Woodland Police Department. At the time of this press release, Lee was being interviewed by Woodland Police Detectives.  Upon completion of the interview, Lee will be transported and booked at the Yolo County Jail on the no bail felony PRCS warrant, felony evasion, felony theft of a vehicle, and resisting arrest.
