On Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at approximately 7:32 am, Woodland police officers were dispatched to a business in the 1200 block of East Main Street for a report of a vehicle that had been driven through a glass storefront. It was reported that the male driver, 56-year-old Woodland resident Dennis Cortopassi, then entered the business and began throwing items from displays. No one was injured during the incident.
Upon arriving, Woodland police officers located Cortopassi outside the business. Through investigation it was learned that Cortopassi had intentionally driven his vehicle through the storefront. He was arrested without incident. Cortopassi was booked at the Yolo County Jail for vandalism, burglary, and battery. Bail was set at $50,000.
