|On the 22nd of December 2012 at approximately 10:23 pm, Woodland police officers were dispatched to the 7-11 convenience store, at 301 Cottonwood St, for a possible brandishing of a handgun.|
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim and his girlfriend who reported that 2 Hispanic males began threatening them as they walked to their vehicle in the 7-11 parking lot. At some point, one of the suspect males, later determined to be a 17 year old Woodland juvenile, revealed a semi-automatic handgun from his waistband. The juvenile pointed the handgun at both victims at which point he and the 2nd suspect began yelling gang related slang and challenges.
The victims reported all of this to the police department, including the direction of travel of the suspects. Moments later, Woodland Police Officers located the 2 suspects running southbound across Main St from the Corkwood Lounge. After detaining the 2 subjects, they were positively identified as the suspects at the 7-11.
Arrested was 28 year old Woodland resident, Angel Fermin Hernandez, and a 17 year old Woodland juvenile. Both were charged with brandishing a firearm in a threatening manner, terrorist threats, and participating in criminal street gang activity.
Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call the Woodland Police Department.
