|On Friday, November 30, 2012, at approximately 4:32 pm, police received a call from Check Max Plus at 9 Main St. (Purity Plaza), #113. 22-year-old Woodland resident Nicole Sobrero called to report that she had just been robbed of her purse, cash, and her vehicle.|
Officers arrived and contacted Sobrero who reported that she had just left work at Check Max Plus and was driving toward Court Street using the alleyway between the Wash House and the Red Cross building. She said a subject in a grey sweatshirt with a hood was walking in the same direction in the middle of the one-lane alleyway and she could not get around him. When she came to a stop, a second person described by Sobrero as a tall Black male adult wearing a ski mask and a grey sweatshirt, approached her driver’s side window and tapped on the glass with a black handgun he was holding. This suspect demanded money and Sobrero handed him her purse. He told her to get out of the car and, when she did, he and the other male that had been blocking Sobrero’s path, both got in the car and were last seen northbound through the alleyway. She did not see which direction they turned on Court Street.
Sobrero’s vehicle is still outstanding and is described as a 2001 gold Chevrolet Malibu, CA license #4RZC571.
Police are still actively investigating this robbery and would appreciate any information related to this case from anyone with knowledge of the incident.
