Yolo County Office of Emergency Services and the City of Woodland will be hosting informational meetings related to emergency preparedness. Woodland residents are encouraged to attend ONE of these meetings to learn about Yolo County’s new evacuation plan and how they can prepare for an emergency.
Yolo County has been divided into 91 evacuation zones, including six for the City of Woodland. Information will be provided on those evacuation zones, the evacuation routes and what the evacuation process would look like in an emergency.
General preparedness information for creating an emergency plan, building an emergency kit, planning for pets and populations with additional needs, and signing up for emergency alerts will also be provided. Residents can prepare now by registering to receive emergency alerts via alternate phone numbers and e-mail addresses at www.Yolo-Alert.org.
