Junior Lifeguard Program


Community Services offers a Junior Lifeguard program for participants age 11-14. This program is for individuals looking to get a head start on a future as a lifeguard offering training in rescue skills and drills; general pool operations; hands on training during swim lessons, and more.  All Junior Lifeguard participants are given an opportunity to complete community service hours outside the program hours. 

Participants must be able to swim 50 yards without stopping.  The Junior Lifeguard program DOES NOT certify participants as lifeguards.

Junior Lifeguard Session

Monday-Thursday, June 22-July 31
9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
All classes are held at Charles Brooks Community Swim Center at 155 N. West Street.


Advanced registration is required and space is limited, so sign-up early. Registration for each session will be closed the Wednesday before the session starts. Please don't show up to the pool the first day of the class and try to get in.

Complete the registration form, be sure both side of are complete. Bring registration form to 2001 East Street (Woodland Community & Senior Center) Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Cash, Checks, Visa or Master Card Accepted Make checks payable to: City of Woodland.
