Tip of the Month

Cool down and save!

Did you know by switching to LED light bulbs you can keep your house cool and comfortable? LED bulbs do not generate heat like incandescent bulbs. LED bulbs also use less energy and last longer than other bulbs. So, while LED bulbs cost a bit more upfront, they save money in the long run and keep you cooler in the summer.

July is Smart Irrigation Month

Your lawn is your most intense water user!

If you have a yard, chances are you've started watering.
The average landscape is over-watered by as much as 50%! This month we ask you to participate and water cooler, smarter, and less.

  • Water Cooler! Water in the morning or evening when it's cool. The middle of the day temperatures are at their peak and water will evaporate much quicker.

  • Water Smart! Adjust your watering schedule regularly to account for seasonal weather conditions. Get a custom schedule at BeyondtheDrought.com

  • Water Less! Replace broken sprinkler heads and adjust the arc to avoid runoff. Excessive runoff can pollute our local waterways and be costly.
