A public workshop was held the evening of May 31 to review the findings of the Systemic Safety Analysis Report Program (SSARP) and to discuss next steps and a future grant application for Gibson Road.
This was the second workshop for the SSARP – a grant program which provides funding through Caltrans to assist local agencies in performing collision analyses, identifying safety issues on their roadway networks, and developing a list countermeasures or solutions that can utilize future safety program grant applications. The City presented the findings of the study including collision types, causes and potential countermeasures that could be employed. The presentation slides can be accessed by clicking here.
During the workshop, participants were asked to review display boards showing the corridors with the highest concentration of collisions and provide feedback on potential countermeasures. The boards can be viewed by clicking here. Staff invites the public to continue providing feedback on the corridors and countermeasures through the end of June by using this online survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LTBJ9TN.
