Rec2Go is the City of Woodland's first ever all-electric vehicle to the fleet. The Zenith electric cargo van is the only one of its weight class that has been certified by the State of California to be driven within the state to date. State of California provided $50,000 in funding through its Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Program (HVIP).
In addition to the HVIP voucher, the City received $10,000 in additional funding through CARB. It is estimated approximately $18,000 will be saved in fuel costs over the lifetime of the van. Not only will this electric van be a significant cost saver, but it will also represent another great step towards the City meeting its energy goal.
