The applicant, Golden State Properties, has submitted an application for a 79 room, 4-story hotel, on 1.27 acres in the Regional Commercial District which requires approval of a Zoning Administrator Permit. The site is located north of the Interstate 5 on-ramp and on the east side of East Street. There is existing development, including hotels located south of the I-5.
The project site is currently undeveloped and is bounded by a mix of uses and facilities (single family residence to the east, vacant land, freeway on-ramp, and Velocity Island). The applicant proposes to provide 77 parking spaces on site and has provided a parking justification statement. The applicant will be required to obtain a biological assessment as part of the application review.
